I'_ SURROUND

• Before playing with the surround function, be sure to use the test tones to adjust the playback level from each speakers. This adjustment can

be performed from the remote control unit, as described below.

• The adjustment with the test tones is only effective in the DOLBY/DTS SURROUND modes.

The adjusted playback levels for the different surround modes are automatically stored in the memory of each surround modes.

Set the DOLBY/DTS SURROUND (Dolby Pro Logic II or Dolby

Digital or DTS) modes.

different speakers. Use the channel

volume adjust buttons to adjust so

that the volume of the test tones is

the same for all the speakers.

NOTE" Please make sure the "AUDIO" position of the slide

switch on the remote control unit.

After completing the adjustment, press T.TONE button again.

• After adjusting using the test tones, adjust the channel levels either according to the playback sources or to suit your tastes, as described below.

Select the speaker whose level you want to adjust.

NOTE" Please make sure the "AUDIO" position of the slide

switch on the remote control unit.

Adjust the level of the selected speaker.

•_ The level of the selected speaker can be adjusted within

the range of +12 to -12 dB using the SELECT (up and

down) buttons.
